Issurtille France
Dear Honey,
Well here me is at Issurtelle an my way to Monaco. We left Verdun Monday the 31st in the afternoon and arrived here last night. We slept in the cars the first night and nearly froze, but last night we had a bed in the R.C. and lots of blankets I sure did sleep for I was tired. We were at Liffole Grand for about ten hours and after switching around for a while we finally got here. We leave this afternoon for Monaco on a special leave train run by the AEF and then we won't be long in getting there. Monaco is located between Nice & Monte Carlo on the sea and near the border line of Italy. So you can see what a trip I am taking all the way from the northern part of France to the extreme south. Well after we get there we spend the seven days and then start back again so you see I will be away from camp for a few weeks and glad to get away. My cold is very much better now and when I get down to Monaco I will get rid of it. Well honey hoping to find all well at home and to be with you soon. I will quit now and send all my love and kisses to my darling wife,
From her soldier Hubby, Clarence
PS. I send a box and a shell home by mail on March 31-19 Napkin ring and shell are for you.
