Dear Hilda,
I am mailing your dress to-day and hope you will receive it OK. also that it pleases you, it is the best I could do as the selections at the wholesale houses are very low now the season being almost over for them. It was $20.00 and as you sent the check for that amount, I selected one at that price, I could have gotten a plain dress with much coarser serge at 17.50 but for the difference of that much and $20.00 this was a much better dress both in style and quality and thought it nice and plain if you wanted to wear it for business. Gertude went along and it looked very well on her so think it will become you allright as you are both about one size, except the length you will probably have to shorten it, however Hilda if you don't like it, you can return it. Le me hear from you as soon as you receive it. I had a long distance call this morning from Norma Beck. She tells me the epidemic is still very bad there, well, it is here also and they want all kinds of nursers and volunteers with or without experience to take care of those afflicted and I would love to offer my assistance if it wasn't for the children as the most of the peole are dying for the lack of being cared for (crossed out the word neglected) and no-body to nurse them. I hope all of your family are well again also yourself, we are all well and that is so much to be tankful for. Louis is getting home at 4-30 for the past two weeks and suppose all offices will close at that time until the disease is at an end to relieve the congestion on the cars at the business hours, you experience what that is, Hilda, how we were packed in the subway. Will close no with best wishes to you all from both Louis and myself. I am as ever Your Cousin
Nell
