Intro

Dear Relatives and any other interested party,

These are the letters, we found when my Mom died.  They are obviously written to Grandma McCafferty from Grandpa McCafferty during World War I.  I apologize for the way the photos are.  I gave up on getting them correctly oriented.  Under Archive to the side you can see all the letters and my typewritten translation.  The dates are arranged as I could do it.  If the date listed is 2020 it is letters from 1919.  If the date is 2019 the letters are from 1918.  I tried to match Month for Month so they are orderd.   I'm sure there are typos and sometimes I could not read the writing. Other times the misspellings are Grandpas.  I hope you enjoy this bit of history.

    June 16 1919 Arrived to day in the good old U.S.A.  It certainly looks good to me.  Feeling fine and dandy.  Sure anxious to see you.  Will write a good letter soon.  Remember me to all.  You know I send lots of love and then some.  As ever Clarence.
