Somewhere in France
My Dear Honey,
Well still in France and am well. Found the Y to day and that is where I am writing this letter from. Gee they have electric light in this town also in the Y. I have been in this town over two week and to day is the first that I knew of the Y being here. It is only about 1/2 mile from our barracks. They sell cigars, cigarettes, chocolates, tooth-paste and a few other things that the boys want. Next Sunday if the weather is nice I am going on a hike with some other boys and go fishing (don't tell DR). It is about 15 miles walk and the fishes are so plentiful that you can get all you can carry in a short time. Still no mail but expect it any day now. Still keeping good hours go to bed about 7 PM every night, but his morning I did not get up until ten o'clock just thought I would stay in bed. I have been trying to get a map of the AEF fighting section but have not yet succeeded, so if you can get one over home get it and keep it there and I will try and show you some of the territory that we have travelled over. Just wrote a litter to HWS the second since being in this camp. Well I will quit now, as news is scarced here and hoping that all is well at home. I Remain as ever
Your loving and faithful
Soldier Hubby
Clarence.
